BONUS+ requests during the Christmas closure
BONUS+ libraries will be closed from 22 December and re-open in early January 2013. During the closure period requests for BONUS+ items will not be processed and will be acted on when the libraries re-open.

Interlibrary loans now available for collection from the Hold Shelf
Material borrowed using the Library's Document Delivery Service can now be picked up at any time the Library is open. Once you receive email notification your request has arrived, simply collect it from the Hold Shelf in Reserve at the South St Campus Library, and check it out at the Self Check machine.
We will hold requested items for 7 days. Loans are usually available for 4 weeks and will now appear on your library borrowing record (My Library). If you would like to extend your loan, contact Document Delivery Staff. Renewal is dependent on the supplier's policy.
Special conditions apply to some items, which may only be available for use within the Library.
Copies of articles and chapters from books will continue to be delivered electronically.

Postgraduate study rooms available
Two new postgraduate study rooms are now available on South Wing level 2
in the South St Campus Library. Rooms 2.010A and 2.011 are shared, quiet
casual study spaces for postgraduates and researchers. Facilities
include power for laptops and a whiteboard. Postgraduate students can register for access online or at the Library Enquiries Desk.
National Year of Reading 2012 - Semester Two
There is still time to get involved in the National Year of Reading 2012. Join our online book club, and be part of an Australia-wide book reading experience and explore different aspects of what it means to be Australian.

- Time's Long Ruin – a novel about friendship, love and loss which is based loosely on the disappearance of the Beaumont children from Glenelg beach on Australia Day, 1966. Available from the Library in print and as an e-book.
- Jasper Jones - a riveting tale about a bookish adolescent who is drawn into events surrounding the grim disappearance of a local girl. Available from the Library in print, as an e-book and a CD recording
- Wanting - based on real historical figures under the central theme of 'wanting'. The novel is set in both nineteenth century Tasmania and Britain. Available from the Library in print.
- The idea of home – a series of related essays of an autobiographical nature, spanning the author’s life from childhood to maturity. Available from the Library in print.

Open Day – Extended Sunday opening hours

BONUS+ is back
The Library has resumed participation in the BONUS+ service, after an absence of twelve months. Murdoch staff and students can now borrow books from a total of twelve university libraries in Australia and New Zealand, with the click of a button. If the book you need is not available at Murdoch, request it online using the green button at the top of your search results in the Library Catalogue.
