Exciting news - The front of the Library is being remodelled!

We’re excited to announce that the North Wing Level 3 entrance is being remodelled to provide a new and more flexible experience for students and staff.

The new space will feature user-friendly areas for individual and collaborative learning and peer assisted coaching along with purpose built exhibition facilities.



We are also looking forward to delivering a brand new customer focussed service model.
The project is due for completion by April 2017.

In the meantime, the Library and IT help desks have been temporarily relocated to North Wing Level 2.

Australia Day Public Holiday

The University Library will be closed on Thursday 26th January for the Australia Day public holiday and will reopen on Friday at 8am.

Due to necessary upgrades to the software and servers, the Research Repository will be unavailable on Monday 16th January between 11am and 3pm (WST).

Power outages - Wednesday 11th & Thursday 12th January

Due to regular maintenance, there will be no power to the Library building at the following times:

Wednesday 11th January, North Wing and Learning Link:

  • 7am to 9am
  • 10:30am and 12 noon (2 minute outages)
  • Library Help Desk Services available from 8am-9am in South Wing, Level 3.
  • No phone service available until 9am
  • Additionally, the IT Service Desk will be closed until 9am.

Thursday 12th January, South Wing

  •  7am to 9am
  •  10:30am and 12 noon (2 minute outages).

During each outage, you can still access computers in other areas of the Library. See Computer Availability for more information.

My Unit Readings - Digitised content access issues

We are currently having issues with access to digitised content (PDF scans of articles, documents etc.) on My Unit Reading lists.

Please report any issues you notice to digitallibraryservices@murdoch.edu.au, included details of the unit code and affected reading.

Teaching staff can also report any other My Unit Readings issues to digitallibraryservices@murdoch.edu.au.

We will endeavour to fix all issues as soon as possible and apologise for the inconvenience.
